Mayer Hawthorne - Reach Out Richard
The video for the Michigan singer/songwriter’s hearftelt ode to his father (prod. by Pharrell) gets semi-interactive as director Henry Demaio utilized the nifty GoPro gadget in a pretty cool way.
“I had the idea to create a circular stop motion effect in a live setting, thinking it would be an interesting twist on the usual live performance video,” Demaio said, using footage from Hawthorne’s latest fall tour. “It sounded like a fun way to involve the crowd in the process, as well as possibly immerse the viewer in the live experience — almost putting them on stage.”
